Takumi upgraded his AE86 to FT86.

It all started out with...
Initial D (頭文字D(イニシャル・ディー) Inisharu Dī)
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Shuichi Shigeno.
It has been serialized in Kodansha's Young Magazine since 1995,
with the chapters collected into 45 tankōbon (manga) volumes to date.
The story focuses on the world of illegal Japanese street racing,
where all the action is concentrated in the mountain passes
and rarely in cities nor urban areas, and with the drift racing
style emphasized in particular.

Being said, Takumi the is a racer that races a Toyota AE86 in the Manga.
At the year 2013, Toyota has launch a new breed of AE86 with
a joint venture with Subaru. Its called the FT86.
FT86 is powered by a 2.0L boxer engine developed by Subaru.

Boxer engine by Subaru - 2.0L NA.
200hp @7000rpm. Torque: 205nm (151 lb/ft) @ 6600rpm

We have been waiting for someone to actually
replicate the legendary AE86 from the manga Initial D.
True enough our friend Hakim decided to do a replica
of the legend. Without wasting time and opportunity,
we've contacted him and asked him for a
photoshoot session at Sentul Park, KL.

The Japanese word on the car means - Fuji Wara's Tofu Shop (Home use)
Home use = Private car for delivering Tofu. Not for commercial use.

Shooting this car was a breeze. Weather is good and the angle of the
FT86 was just so photogenic.

This car is still a virgin and its yet to be modded, says Hakim.

Every single sticker was a replica of Takumi's car in Initial D.

Even the number plate of this car was specially picked for the car, 86.
Both analog and digital meter can be spotted.

Auto Tranny and his lil' AE86 Keychain that
we took of from his keys.

There is another twin brother that was
badged under Subaru and its called BRZ.

The rims are stock and coated to black.

Trueno in Spanish means thunder. It's weird that the Japanese adopt
a name from Spanish.
The Japanese wording appeared only on the right side
of Takumi's AE86, as well as this FT86.

Hakim's fog lights were tinted to yellow to follow suit
Takumi's car.
Rolling shot of Hakim's FT86 cruising at KL highway
on a Sunday Morning.

Thank you, Hakim.
